Welcome to the Department of Geological Sciences at Michigan State University. We are a growing department with teaching, research and outreach activities in both traditional and emerging areas of the geological sciences. Our four thematic research areas take advantage of collaborative opportunities in the department, and with other departments at MSU and elsewhere.
